What Is It?

An online interactive house and Wiki allowing learners to explore a Passiv House and the different concepts, construction techniques and components required.

Through engaging with rich media content including videos, animated exploded diagrams and quizzes the learner is encouraged to learn about sustainable construction, maintenance and retrofit in their country and in other European countries involved in the project.

Topics covered include:

  • Foundations and floors
  • Walls
  • Windows
  • Doors
  • Ventilation
  • Roofs and ceilings
  • Renewable source

In addition the content developed will be available for offline and mobile access allowing for immediate on-site reference by learners in a practical application setting.

A secure administration module will enable partners to refresh and add content to the site and application, ensure long term project relevancy and sustainability.

The content is aimed at all those who want to learn about the construction of energy saving houses and retrofitting existing buildings to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, including owners and occupiers, construction professionals, building workers, and students and apprentices.
